The school improved its Academic Performance Index — the way the state monitors its progress and student understanding of math and English — by 70 points last year, the single highest gain of any comprehensive high school in the San Francisco Unified School District.
As a result of their gains, the schools 900 students will be treated to a “gala luncheon,” catered by some of San Francisco’s finest restaurants and gourmet retailers, according to district officials. Food will be cooked and served to students on the school’s soccer field. Food will be provided by Bi-Rite Market, Slanted Door, Delfina, Fraces, Pica-Pica and Mission Pie.
The luncheon will start at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
