AccessSFUSD spreads cheer at 10th Annual Holiday Sing-a-long

The holiday spirit was in full swing for the 10th Annual AccessSFUSD: The Arc Holiday Sing-Along. Deputy Superintendent Myong Leigh kicked off the event with a welcome and introductions. Special education students, families, staff and community members were joined by former Senator Mark Leno, along with Superintendent Dr. Vincent Matthews on bongos and VAPA Director Rob Daniels on piano. AccessSFUSD staff and students danced and played the saxophone, accordion, bells, and percussion while the crowd of over 140 people sang holiday favorites such as ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘Feliz Navidad’ and ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’.

The purpose of the event was to bring together the extended community for a holiday celebration that aligns with AccessSFUSD’s motto, “San Francisco is the Campus.” Community partners from all across San Francisco came together to highlight the District’s partnerships at this fun, student-led and emceed event.
