Over 300 students from elementary schools across the district including Buena Vista-Horace Mann, Clare Lilienthal, Commodore Sloat. Dianne Feinstein, Lawton, Lafayette, McKinley, Peabody and Sunset Elementary Schools will perform as the choral collaborative, Young Voices in Song. The show, titled On Broadway, will feature music from well-known musicals, such as Annie, Hairspray, Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, The Wiz, Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton. Students from Ruth Asawa School of the Arts will also join the chorus on stage. The purpose of the collaboration is to foster community as well as raise awareness and increase interest of SFUSD’s choral program.
