Each year, the SFUSD Tobacco Use Prevention Education Program, under the guidance of the Student Health Advisory Board, holds a Public Service Announcement contest to make their peers and school communities aware of the importance of being tobacco and vape free. With that effort, the use of tobacco products among SFUSD elementary, middle, and high school students has decreased over the past years [reflected in our Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) trends data].
