As the school year comes to a close, high school students in SFUSD’s Career Pathways programs are getting ready to showcase what they’ve learned and developed in capstone events. Each school participating in Career Pathways will have their own capstone event open to their communities.
Here’s what one school, June Jordan School for Equity, will present at their capstone event: the Cue Up the Community Student Showcase.
- The Arts & Entrepreneurship pathway will present projects in graphic design, including a collaboration with the Music Tech and Production pathway with designs for album covers.
- The Youth Development pathway will showcase their partnership with Urban Sprouts, an organization centered in food justice. They will demonstrate how to work bicycle-powered smoothie machines.
- The Music Tech and Production pathway will perform their music live. This program was profiled on KCBS Radio earlier this year - listen for a preview!
- The Health Science and Medical Tech pathway will do live demonstrations of creating herbal remedies from materials from the campus garden.
The event will take place at the garden at June Jordan on Friday, April 22 from 4-6PM. Register here.
